Just like the rest of the AvreaFoster team, our interns are working from home during the pandemic.
For the past 15 years, AvreaFoster has delivered an internship program that provides valuable, hands-on experience in marketing, strategy and branding. Rather than cancel the program this year, we rolled up our sleeves, got creative and built a new and improved program that fits within our current business environment. Working remotely, we’re still able to offer an authentic look into agency life, by showing how the team at AvreaFoster plans, creates, produces and manage workloads. This real-world (albeit remote) experience adds a whole new dimension to learning.
Today, we welcomed Caroline and Lizzie to the program with a virtual breakfast video call, complete with handwritten welcome messages to make them feel right at home. We wish our 2020 crAFt interns the best with us this summer, and cannot wait to see what the future holds for them! And maybe we’ll even see them in person before the summer is over.
ABC Financial (abcfinancial.com) is a premier provider of technology and related services to over 8,000 health clubs. AvreaFoster was supporting the preparation for ABC’s participation in the preeminent industry convention when COVID-19 intervened. Canceled. Our work, of course, was put on hold; but our client, ABC, decided to assemble a resourceful internal team and go to work in a unique direction during this interim period.
The closing of gyms and fitness clubs globally generated an impressive flexing of marketing muscles from the ABC team, focusing their entire marketing outreach delivered solely as a social media campaign. How? Their clients were introduced to relevant financial support channels. A #StrongerTogether social campaign brought their industry together with a united mission of addressing the pandemic. And #FeelGoodFriday was launched as a platform of collaboration regarding the readiness of reopening. “Act fast and communicate often” was somewhat of a mantra for this optimization of social media as their primary communication effort. And it was obviously a mantra for success — increasing engagement beyond 400%.

As AvreaFoster’s dynamic new account director, Brittany Feldman specializes in managing complex projects, drawing on her work in Chicago with high-profile clients in the elevator, aviation, eye care, and computer and technology industries. In her free time, Brittany enjoys walking in her North Dallas neighborhood with her 4-year-old daughter and dog Dallas (named for the city she thought she’d never be living in again). When summer gets hot, there is nothing better than jumping in a swimming pool to cool off. And that is what many children who live in Dallas-area apartments do to pass the time and have fun with their friends.
That is why safety in and around community pools is so important. Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional deaths of children ages 1 to 4. According to the Texas Drowning Prevention Alliance, drowning is the second leading cause of death among children under the age of 14.
Every summer, AvreaFoster supports one of the best YMCA programs in the Dallas area called Safety Around Water. In 2019, over 3,900 children participated in the program that teaches them how to swim, the use of water safety skills, and how to react to emergency situations.
“I have been bringing my 5-year-old daughter to participate in the program for the past three consecutive summers,” said participant mom Patricia Villegas. “This program has allowed my daughter to learn the skills necessary in case of an emergency regarding the pool. My daughter loves the program! As soon as summer starts, she’s asking me when her swimming lessons begin. I’d recommend this program to everyone who has children because being able to swim is a very important skill for the kids.”
“Knowing we play a part in teaching kids to swim touches home with me. As a teenager, I used to teach water safety programs across Dallas and have seen the positive impact it has on our community,” said AvreaFoster CEO Dave Foster.

Last year, the AvreaFoster team participated in an innovative employee challenge. Wearing new Apple Watches (part of the company’s newest wellness perk), employees signed up to meet various personal and team goals for fitness and wellness achievements. The program encourages a healthy lifestyle and camaraderie among teammates. Employees who reached their goals were rewarded with prizes. A series of challenges will run throughout this year, keeping employees active and fit.

Developed for real estate advisors, L&B Realty, the new website incorporates dynamic video content along with sleek design elements to help promote one of downtown Miami’s premier office towers. AvreaFoster recently partnered with Fluor, one of the world’s largest construction companies, to transform Fluor’s global safety initiative. AvreaFoster led a collaborative research, strategic assessment and brand development process to arrive at the theme — “Safer Together” — that reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its preventive safety culture. Fluor launched the new Safety Together program at the company’s annual leadership team meeting and is rolling it out at offices and construction sites around the world. The campaign includes a Safety Pledge outlining the company’s renewed commitment to safety as well as an extensive Safer Together brand identity that was extended across hundreds of communication pieces.
Grand Rounds, a leading health services company, uses technology to match patients with suitable primary care physicians. To build awareness about the importance of quality care and create buzz around the company’s offering, AvreaFoster launched Grand Rounds’ newest digital tool: QualityThatCounts.com. The website features an interactive map displaying physician quality per county, giving healthcare analysts and benefits providers an at-a-glance overview of physician quality by county. To generate the map, Grand Rounds employs proprietary algorithms using clinical and background data to predict physician performance and identify PCPs who are most likely to deliver high-quality care consistently. AvreaFoster and Grand Rounds collaborated to organize and structure the data in dynamic and accessible formats. Additional insight and leadership around physician quality are in development for Q3 and Q4 of 2018.

A 26,000-acre master-planned development in Fort Worth, Texas, AllianceTexas is a regional success story, having generated over $69 billion in economic stimulus. With a unique inland port and industrial airport, AllianceTexas serves as a major thoroughfare for commercial shipping. It’s also home to thousands of residents and an array of retail, office spaces and industrial complexes.
Petro-Hunt L.L.C., one of the nation’s largest privately-held oil and gas companies, has selected AvreaFoster to redesign and redevelop the company’s website and online presence. AvreaFoster, with extensive experience in energy, technology and real estate businesses, was chosen by Petro-Hunt leadership to develop a more forward-thinking, dynamic and accessible site. The site is an important part of the company’s ongoing engagement with investors, partners, communities and both prospective and existing employees. The Dallas-based company traces its roots to the 1920s, when the legendary H.L. Hunt entered the oil and gas business in El Dorado, Arkansas.
